From memory, I think the battery is dependent on a Mercury PX675, or something like that. Basically the same size as SR44/LR44 but with a lower voltage. This is good enough to see your meter needle move, but obviously causing some inaccuracy with the meter reading. There is a Wein battery with the exact same size and voltage that works, the model escapes me now. Luckily I'm comfortable shooting film without a meter and am usually within a one stop of accuracy. That being said, I have an extra roll of 125 ISO Black & White film that I am going to pop in after I finish this burger at In-N-Out.
Once I finish taking photos, I'll get this roll developed, hopefully within the next 2 weeks. So at some later time, I'll post a follow up on my experience with the Minolta Hi-Matic 7sii and see if it was worth the the decade wait and if the $15 was better spent on a gallon of milk. couple of images, as well as full specs on the camera.
